With my Christmas card mass production in the past, and Valentine’s Day over a month away, it’s a good time to make everyday cards for the rest of the year. I have a little card stash at work for friends to purchase as need be, and my inventory needs refreshing in the worst way!
This card is so simple – the patterned paper does all the work, and really sets off the herringbone flower. I put a tan panel inside for the message.

I have a really bad cold. In AUGUST?! So my office is having to live without me today while I heal. My poor pets are the only ones who are forced to listen to my coughing and sneezing. I found that having a slight fever and sore throat doesn’t prevent one from sitting quietly and making a card, however. This is a wonderful easel card made from tags! I found the tutorial while blog hopping this morning. Yeah, you can sit at the computer while you’re sick, too. Note: I probably won’t mail this card to anyone for awhile – as pretty as it may be, it’s got my GERMS.
Stop by Bronwyn Eastley’s blog for her tutorial.

I was commissioned to make a big (8.5 x 11 folded in half) thank you card for a friend at work. She has just returned from a trip to Hawaii, so hopefully this will keep her Aloha spirit going a little longer. I don’t usually make cards this big (there will be several people signing it) so decided to choose big stamp images for both the flower and the words. Tried not to clutter it up…think it worked!
The hibiscus was inked in yellow, then sponged with pink and coral on the petal tips before stamping.

After the 4th of July, there’s kind of a stretch of time with no major holidays. I’m nowhere near ready to start thinking about making Fall cards – so this is a good time to make multipurpose and birthday cards. The embossed tulip frame is one of my favorites right now – and really sets off the great designer paper from “My Mind’s Eye.” Sentiment is from Papertrey and the polkadot oval stamp is Stampin’ Up. Shout out to Becky Roberts for her inspiration.

I gained a new First Cousin Once Removed In-Law this month and needed to make a wedding card for the happy couple. While I was at it, I made a card for a great friend too. The flowers were stamped in Staz On permanent black ink, then tinted with the ink that matches the paper via watercolor brush and water. Voila! I want to give credit where credit is due – saw this on Wee Inkling’s beautiful blog, and gave it a few twists of my own.

Pink struck me today! It’s a gorgeous day here in the Pacific Northwest and not really a day to be sitting inside making cards….but had the ideas for these two in my head and had to get them created! A couple new Bigz Dies and “voila!”

On this one, to get the butterfly base, cut a piece of paper 6.25 X 3.5″ and fold in half. Align the fold just below the top of the butterfly wings on the die. That allows a cut, but the fold will still be there. Then fold the top butterfly on the card in half in the middle. Mount another butterfly to that, attaching at lower wing only. The rest you can probably figure out – - – It fits in a 3×3 envelope on an angle.

Here’s the Easter card I made this year. Loved the green textured paper – we have had such a long, rainy winter! Lily stamp from Stampin’ Up and sentiment from Paper Trey. Border punch from Martha Stewart.

This one was for my Son and Daughter In Law’s baby shower…I’m going to be a grandma in July, and yes, I’m absolutely elated! This is another card done with the faux fabric technique demo’ed in a past post. The Onesie is cut from a wheel stamp from Stampin’ Up and the sentiment is again, Paper Trey. Paper from Stampin’ Up.

I am loving my new little seamstress-themed stamp set from Papertrey ! Together with a retro BDay Stampin’ Up stamp and the Cosmo Cricket retro designer paper, I was very pleased with this card. Hope my niece is, too!

These tiny purses are made with one 6X6 square of designer paper! So quick to make and are good for using up scraps you may have lying around. The stamp is by “Peddlers Pack.” These will be fun to give to my girlfriends (little AND big).
I got my original idea from Frenchie’s tutorial here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mxvzYgzRFFM&feature=player_embedded
